DESCRIPTION
Art becomes the protagonist of the pattern of a modern carpet, transforming it in turn into a refined art object. A marvellous painting by Sebastiano Ricci – the “Farewell of Adonis from Venus”, which adorns one of the rooms of the Pitti Palace in Florence – is transferred to the pile of this wool rug, which collects, reinterprets in a contemporary key and finally re-proposes that unforgettable beauty.
