DESCRIPTION
Directly from the genius of Maarten Baas, a contemporary carpet with a cartoonish flavour that is remarkable from every point of view. The pattern of this artefact represents ordinary household objects being overwhelmed by a press. Everything has been pressed to the floor so much that some of the objects have come out of the edges of the carpet. Colourful and witty, the piece is also reminiscent of some home interiors painted by Vincent van Gogh.
