DESCRIPTION
Gustavo Martini’s triptych closes with this third conceptual rug, which is also a tribute to Lucio Fontana’s “Cuts.” The two-dimensional surface of the carpet becomes the canvas of a modern art painting,in which the artist explores the grammar of a new visual language. The mathematical exactness of the lines fades into the naturalness of the wool of the carpet, and vice versa. From this contrast comes a new mode of expression, powerful and vivid.
