How can I be sure that the colour of the rug is actually the one I saw and chose on the video?
The absolute certainty does not exist. We professionally scan and codify all colours; however, there could be a small difference between the colour you chose on the video and the actual colour of the wool. For this reason, after you have confirmed your order, you can request that we send a sample of the yarn colour that will be used.
However, if you ask for a colour sample, it will extend the delivery time by 1 month.
This is because our supplier has to mix the colour , send us the sample and, in turn, we then forward it to you for confirmation.
How do I order a rug?
It is very simple. After you have personalised the rug and received your quotation, the order is confirmed by e-mail. We ask a deposit of 50% of the total value.
Do prices include V.A.T.?
Yes, V.A.T. is included. For non Eu-Countries, you have to deduct the Italian VAT, currently at 20% from the cost of the rug and add the taxes corresponding to your Country.

What are the terms of payment?
50% of the total cost in advance; this is confirmation of the order: as soon as we receive it, we start the actual production. Balance before shipment.
What are the shipping methods and costs?
Charges depend on the dimensions and destination of each rug.
The shipment can be:
EXPRESS: delivered direct to your door
IN GROUPAGE: the consolidation of goods from different consignors into full load, obviously giving costs savings.
CARRIER OF YOUR CHOICE: carriage to be arranged by you and collected from our premises in Varedo (Milan). We can supply all weights and sizes beforehand.
How can I be sure that what you ship is actually what I ordered?
Prior to delivery, we can send you a photograph or, if you prefer, we would welcome a visit from yourself or other appointed Person to visually inspect your rug.
What is the estimated delivery period?
Each rug is personalised and hand-crafted. For this reason, it is not available ex-stock. Typically, delivery is usually from 3 to 6 months from order confirmation. It varies from the producing Country.
What happens if I decide to change my mind and cancel the order?
You can cancel your order within 7 DAYS OF CONFIRMATION.
In the case of consultancy, where this has already commenced, you will be liable for any costs incurred.
What should I do if the rug is damaged on arrival, or if there are any other problems?
If you notice the damage before the Carrier leaves, accept the delivery and clearly write on the advice note “damaged”.
Please CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY and we will explain what action to take.
In the case of MANUFACTURING FAULTS, we will replace the rug with no further costs.
If it has been DAMAGED using transport arranged by us, we will take care of all necessary insurance matters. However, if transport is arranged by yourself, we strongly recommend you insure the package and suggest you use wooden cases. In fact, whilst we insure all goods, we are not directly responsible for the shipment, as we sell ex-works.
If I wish to order other design items like furniture or sofas, should I still contact you?
Certainly. Il Piccolo have our own Designers and Craftspeople.
We sell design furniture and we can produce any kind of furniture, according to the Customer’s own drawings or our Architects’ planning.
